power barre *
45-60 minutes - Sundays
Power barre combines the best elements of barre with some strength training, cardio, and resistance-based moves to keep both your mind and muscles working hard. At least 20 minutes of the class is spent at the barre, so if you like the more balletic elements of the classes then this is the one for you. From the barre we move onto working your arms, butt and core.
You’ll need…
Most classes require a sturdy support for balance like a high-backed chair, work surface or, ingeniously, an ironing board.
Chair
Weights
A pair of 1kg hand weights are ideal but if you’re just starting out, 2 cans of beans will do nicely!
Band
A latex and a fabric band are’t essential, but definately add a certain je ne sais quoi!
Keep a bottle of water handy. It’s really important to stay hydrated.

Mat
A standard exercise mat provides cushioning during floor exercises and help improve grip and stability.
Ball
A soft pilates ball (7-9 inches), but you could also use a rolled up towel or deflated football.
